I’ve shared photos and places from Trentino, mainly because I really love Trentino but I have never
mentioned before that I lived in Trentino for a year. Here I discovered that I’m a naturelover:
I love the lakes, the mountains, the long walks and I got attached to the idea of having a dog. I want a dog now

Innsbruck
Innsbruck is
the capital city of
the Austrian state Tyrol. The
city has been shaped by the past but still continues to evolve. Today,
the impressive mountain setting and the magnificent, historic buildings meet
the attractive modern landmarks.
In the past I've shared Christmas Markets in Innsbruck and Swarovski Kristalwelten but I never wrote about this wonderful city which architecture I love so much.

Marostica’s Human Chess Game
Marostica is a medieval town, located in province
of Vicenza, northern Italy, (90 km from Venice). Mostly famous for its spectacular
event and folkloristic tradition The Human Game Chess which takes
place in the town’s square in the second weekend of September. It’s a
tradition started in 1923 inspired by an event from 1454. For this historic
event, Marostica is also nicknamed ‘ La Città degli Scacchi ‘ - ‘The City of
Chess ’.

Garda Lake
Garda Lake is definitely one of the most popular
lakes of Italy. Surrounded by three distinct regions – Lombardy, Trentino
Alto-Adige and Veneto, Garda Lake’s cultural diversity attracts a cosmopolitan
crowd. It covers an area of 370 km², a length of 52 km and a depth of up
to 350 m. I enjoyed Garda’s Alpine climate because it’s beautifully cupped
between high mountains (some of them reach altitudes of more than 2,000 m) and
that along with the majestic landscapes are the reason why this part of lake
Garda is so popular with hikers, climbers and mountain bikers
alike. Moreover, it is also the perfect venue for windsurfers and sailors.
Ideal wind strengths and conditions render the northern part of Lake Garda a
true paradise for them!

Bolzano's Pyramids
This is the second post about these
wonderful earth pyramids..In my first post I was telling that I once saw these pyramids in a magazine and fell inlove. But the first earth pyramids I saw, werern't these...and since I was whining all day about the pyramids I saw in the magazine that were so much bigger and many more of them, the next day we've decided to search these ones. And here they are. Isn't this place amazing? Unfortunately I could see these ones only from far away but the other ones from near. So it was a win-win that I saw the both places.
... Isn't this a spectacular view ?

Waterfall in Calliano
Calliano - a small, charming village in
Trentino-Alto Adige surrounded by a breathtaking landscape of vineyards and
mountains. The village is situated along Rio Cavallo, the stream that
descends from Folgaria and flows into the Adige River. Near the
“Zambel” in Calliano, you find this characteristic waterfall, where the water runs fresh and clear. Far away from the crowds...it's a place I think only locals know about. And the fact that it's a small waterfall in a small village it only makes it very peaceful and truly beautiful.

Genoa's aquarium
Inaugurated in 1992 for the celebration
of the 500th anniversary of Columbus's discovery of the New World,
the Aquarium welcomes over a million visitors every year. The
Aquarium is situated conveniently in the Old harbor, near the Bigo
elevator and Biosphere. It's a nice way to hide from the afternoon
sun and also entertaining. I could have stayed there and watch the
dolphins playing for hours .. so relaxing ..

The Pyramids of Segonzano
Flipping through a magazine, I once saw in Northern Italy there are these Earth Pyramids and thought that I absolutely needed to see this natural wonder. So once I told someone about them, as a result I got here. These weren't the Pyramids I remembered but I was very happy I saw these ones!

Passo San Valentino, 1314m (Trento) february 2015
I found this in my drafts... and decided to post even if off-season, because it's not about a place - it's about an experience..about doing something for the first time and that was one hell of experience for me. I LOVE SNOW! but let me tell you that only by looking at these pictures I can still feel my butt freezing.

Genoa
Liguria is the thinest and the smallest
region of Italy. Genoa is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus and
capital of Liguria and it's certainly big - the sixth biggest Italian
city and the biggest seaport in Italy but the historic center is
compact and walkable.
Many palaces, gorgeous churches,
alleyways, an acquarium, a harbor and spectacular views - a wonderful
city to explore.

Manarola
Heading north from Riomaggiore, the
second village is Manarola, with population of 450 people.Manarola as Riomaggiore
is characterized by the presence of the colorful house-towers and has preserved medieval
fortifications which protected citizens from pirates.
Riomaggiore
Riomaggiore is the largest of the five
villages – the region's favourite postcard view (which I told about
in my 1st post) and definitely my favourite.

Hostals in Barcelona
First of all I have to say that I paid everything and this is not an advertising post... everything here are just my own opinions based on my experiences.
Hostal Nitzs
While I was looking for a hotel, hostel or an appartment to book weeks before my vacation, I was a bit nervous cause the prices were high and the places didn't seem that nice or locations. While going somewhere for 2-3 days might be bearable, if you have a room that you hate on your 10 days vacation .. it can ruin it!

Places to eat in Barcelona
Eating in Barcelona... (and now I'm scrolling down my check-ins on foursquare :)))
In Barcelona as in Milano, Venezia or any other European big city it may be very difficult to find a good place to eat delicious.. mostly you get just a nice place with not very good meal because there are so many tourists and they don't bother to think of satisfying the clients... in the end they'r just tourists and they are leaving soon .. :) and others are coming .. so mostly you pay for the location and not the food..

Places in Trentino-Alto Adige
There are a lot of good places in
Trentino-Alto Adige and I don't pretend to know even half
of them - because I don't. But I'll write about a few places
which I loved most. And by the way.. I have a weird relationship
with the food and I don't often talk/write about places where to
eat/drink/snack but as I said I really loved these ones..

Here's a photo of a hotel I really loved. I've searched my entire gallery and I couldn't find any photos of hostels unfortunately.

Stunning view at Thun Castle
On a small hill near Vigo di Ton village in Val di Non
towers the Thun Castle. Built in the middle of the 13th century, it served as
the seat of the powerful Thun family, which in the valleys Non and Sole
possessed other prestigious residences. The castle is located in a wonderful
location, atop a hill at 609m. in a breathtaking panoramic position in the
middle of apple trees.
Inside the castle, the rooms are a jump in the past,
beautiful indeed. The gardens, instead are large and wonderful. You can
see the marvelous view from the gardens on my photos.
